Here is some more new stuff I forgot that I've added! There are so many new things, even I can't keep track!
If you love the Best Press starch as much as I do, you'll be excited to know there is a new scent available! "Cherry Blossom" is the newest addition to the starch line.
My big, beautiful new display of Aurifil thread arrived last week. Check out all the new colors! I even gave it it's own catagory under Threads and Notions. I've also moved the new Sewline Products to appear under Threads and Notions.

New Website Updates!
I've been busy rearranging some things in my online catalog and adding new products like crazy! Today, the newest tools in fabric marking arrived! Check out the new line of Sewline products. These make tranferring patterns easy! Plus the glue pens are great for doing machine applique.
I also got a lot of new bag patterns and wearable items in. I've made a new catagory for them under patterns called Bags and Wearables. I'll be working on adding details tomorrow, like fabric requirements for the new patterns.
Later this week, watch for new fabrics from Kaffe Fassett! View some of his fabrics here!

Wild Day at Wild Waters
Yesterday was Bailey's birthday, and something possessed me to take her and some friends to Wild Waters for the day. It started out innocently enough. I was supposed to go to the Shop Hop wrap-up meeting in Couerdalane anyways, so my sister was going to drive up with a few kids, I would take a few, they'd go to Wild Waters, I'd go to the meeting and the meet up with the kids at Wild Waters afterwards. Well, that's not exactly how it worked out.
Friday, my sister found out she'd be starting her new job Monday. Well, there went my extra driver, since I'm slightly pathetic and have no friends willing to sacrifice a day at Wild Waters! By Sunday, I had a full car and decided after repeated phone calls that if the rest of the girls invited couldn't be considerate enough to call back that I wasn't going to worry about it. Long story short, I ended up with a car load of kids all by my lonesome self, driving to Wild Waters, and foregoing the meeting all together.
Three giggling pre-teens is more than enough noise for one car ride. Combine that with a 4 year old boy and 2 1st grade girls, the radio, and 2 different movie players, and it's no wonder I had to hit Starbucks as soon as we got into town!
I survived the day, thanks in large part to the fact that the kids were highly entertained at the water park. The little kids aren't allowed to ride the large slides alone, so I ended up taking Will once and Kylee once, which was more than enough sliding for me!
I learned that when the lifeguard says, "That slide's faster," you shouldn't necessarily take her up on it. Especially with a 4 year old riding with you, and on the day after you decided you're a professional water skier wannabe, (just had to try out those new skis) and now can't walk upright without limping because of it. (Have I mentioned that Monte can't hear ANYTHING? I yelled "Just a minute!" and he heard "Hit It!")
Does it mean you're getting old when it takes you an entire week to recover from 2 days of fun? I'm pretty sure it will take me that long, but luckily I've rearranged my schedule to hopefully have more time at home to quilt. That should mean that I'll get more done, right? Right?......anyone?

Where Have I Been?
I've been slacking this week on the blog. It's Bee Bop Shop Hop week, which has me and my mom working some nasty hours. I must say, I'm resenting missing the lake this weekend, since we're expecting some long awaited 80 degree weather! I guess I'll get over it, after I stew about it all weekend!
I've been trying to keep up with the quilting around here, but as usual it's a losing battle on my part. My Birdie Sling is still in pieces, and my Sunday Dinner Apron is missing the buttons. I have managed to kick out a few more basket blocks, so watch for a picture of the next 3 blocks coming soon!
My sister and I took the kids to the pool yesterday. The kids had fun, but it was a little cool and breezy so after an hour they were done. Afterwards, I spent a small fortune on groceries which won't go half as far as they should at our house!
Here are some things that have been on my mind lately:
The patterns for the Lotus Tunic arrived this week, along with some other great wearables. I created a new catagory just for these kinds of patterns. You can view them all under Patterns in the online catalog. As if I don't have enough projects, I've been lusting over Amy Butler patterns lately!
My goal is to have my basket BOM quilt made by next Thursday to show at Moda U. I'm half way done with the blocks, and I'm having a hard time choosing sashing and borders. There are some great color combinations available in the Wee Play line, so I'm waiting to choose until all my blocks are done.
At my physical last week I had to get a Tetanus shot. Turns out I'm a total wimp, because it left my arm slightly swollen and very sore for 3 days afterward! I also learned my "ideal" weight is 120 pounds, and since my 11 year old daughter weighs close to that, I'm pretty sure if I weighed 120 pounds I'd fall over from lack of muscular capacity. Let's just say I don't exactly weigh 120 pounds, (but I might have.......back in 5th grade) and leave it at that!

Dandelion Girl Kit

My mom whipped up this gorgeous quilt for me out of the Dandelion Girl fabrics. I just added it to the website under Dandelion Girl Fabric. This is a great project for any quilter, and it goes together very quickly!
