What's New, Besides the Website

Finally! It looks like my new website will be up by the end of this week. That means I'll be spending my Sunday at the computer, madly uploading every last item I can squeeze into the product list. Some of them are brand new to the store, so I thought I'd share a few previews here.
First, the new quilt from Moda's Birchwood Lodge fabric line. This quilt goes together quickly, since the entire center is preprinted! Kits are available in the store, and will be online as well.
How about these great Fall prints? I love Halloween decorating, at least as much as Christmas decorating. Of course, my birthday is the day before Halloween, so that might have something to do with it. This fabric line, Haunted Hallow II, from Red Rooster, is just the right mix of Fall, Halloween, and rustic style that I love. It has a great panel, and once the website is online and running smooth I might find some time to play with it and make something fantastic!
Last for today, the Twister tools and book. This is a new technique I have yet to try, but I keep hearing great things about. I have a fat quarter collection from the 1990's that I have never broke into, from a fabric line I've long since forgotten the name of. Maybe I'll have to test out the Twister on it....

Cabana Batiks Are In the Store!

The new batiks from Moda arrived today! I haven't carried batiks for quite a while, as in a few years. So, even though I'm not a huge batik fan myself, I do appreciate them and I am excited to have them back in the store. This new line from Moda has some beautiful jewel tones. It will be followed up with another shipment in December of Tropicana Batiks, also from Moda.
The batiks in stock now have been uploaded to the website, so have fun drooling over them here!

Origins-Fresh on the Shelf

Origins, the new line by Basic Grey for Moda, arrived today! Myself and my freight crew (Bailey and Kylee) got it unwrapped, tagged, and ready for sale. It is beautiful, and I can't wait to get my hands on it and whip up some samples!

Origins-Sneak Peak

A couple weeks ago my Moda rep visited with a preview of new fabrics. One line really stood out for me in particular, making both my mom and I drool with excitement. What can I say? sometimes fabric "speaks" to me!

So....I got an awesome email from Moda with links that I can share with everyone. Here is a link to "Origins," which I loved so much that the ENTIRE line will be in store this August!

Figgy Pudding

I've uploaded the brand new holiday line from Moda that I chose for this year. Figgy Pudding is a fun yet elegant fabric line that reminds me of the old blown-glass ornaments and fancy ribbon candy. It will be arriving in the store by the end of this week!

The Greatest Ideas Ever!

Moda has started a new blog site, called "Moda Bakeshop," and it's fantastic!!!! It is chock full of exciting and original patterns that use the Moda Precuts. Precuts are any fabrics that come precut, including charm packs (5" squares), Jelly Rolls (2.5" x WOF strips), Layer Cakes (10" squares), Honey Buns (1.5" x WOF strips), Turnovers (1/2 square triangles that make 5" finished squares when paired), etc.....

Take a look here for some great ideas!
